We used Firefly at RISE Festival in Finsbury Park in 2008. The motivation was both to reduce the energy used as a result of the event, but also to have a professional looking saddlespan stage, with production, lights, power and management with minimum of fuss. The team at Firefly were professional and the show ran really smoothly. Of interest to us over and above the obvious environmental benefits, when using alternative technology, is that they can meet our production standards and also be 'hassle free'. Firefly proved to me that you can sustainably run a really good soundsystem and lights on pure solar energy, whats more the level of professional and technical support for the whole running of the stage was exceptional. In the end we were able to put on massive international acts to massive crowds with no need for back up. They have pulled Solar PAs from the mire of small but excellent alternative events, to a fully speced and tightly run Rock and Roll Stage suitable for any mainstream event. Thats the future.

If I'd have known how easy it was to use solar power before I met Andy and Paul we'd have changed to renewable energy years ago! Firefly worked with Gofer Power to provide site wide 100% renewable energy at more or less the same price as we were paying before. Firefly Solar helped us to look at our power consumption and helped us to reduce the amount of power that we used without in any way compromising our production values. We now have a truly sustainable community event not just in the way that we work but in the power that we consume. Firefly Solar's innovation in the festival market this year has been one of the highlights of the summer and proved a real talking point for the audience.

Their candid advice & professionalism from the planning stages through to production ensured that all our power requirements were met.
